The Morrish & Banham Wine School was established by Mark Banham in 2014

Mark Banham joined the wine trade in 1990 as a Junior Buyer for the highly respected Luckins Wine Store in Great Dunmow, Essex. He studied at the WSET in London passing all examinations including Diploma by the age of 21. After gaining a degree in Geo – Archaeology at Leicester University, Mark returned to the wine trade working in the retail arm of Tanners Wines, the great Shropshire wine merchant. In 2002, Mark was invited to join Palmers Brewery and has spent a decade sourcing wine to create a list to rival the best London wine merchants. In 2014 Mark became a WSET Certified Educator and delivers WSET approved education in the beautiful surroundings of the award winning Furleigh Estate in Bridport, Dorset.

Mark is known in the wine trade for his excellent palate and his ability to assess and value wines. He is also known for his approachable, friendly style of educational delivery and his ability to help candidates fulfil their potential.

Mark lives happily by the sea in West Dorset with wife Caroline, William, Sophia and Tommy the dog.
